My Favourite Picture Story Books

Ahhhhh I have been studying this kind of literature  since I was in Teacher’s College, despite some of the genius around they have not made it to my favourite list, really they are stories that my family loved…..good,  bad,  Christian or not! They just are favourites, most can be found in Amazon or Koorong, enjoy!

* Jibber Jabber (8) who is a live wire, always on the go. He has a very curious mind and ‘gets’ things very quickly which adds to his constant motion. 

* Turbo (4) is a very strong willed child that struggles with the balance of independence and the need to be close to us. He loves to play by himself and makes up amazing little stories. He has a very adventurous nature and is never afraid to give something a go.

* Nuzzle (3 mths) is a very relaxed little man and just likes to be held. We are loving watching him develop and grow into the little boy he will become.

We all have our difficulties and life is not always easy but with the love of Christ, each step along the way is made easier. I haven’t had what I would call an extraordinary life but with every backslide and every triumph I learn more about who I am, and more importantly, who I am in Christ. This blog is just me sharing my journey and each step along the way.

• Go here to signup for a new blog
• Enter a username and valid email address. Click next. (Your username will also be your blog domain, so choose carefully. You may like to use the same username as your username at AussieHomeschool)
• Type a blog tagline title and select your privacy options. Click next.
• Your new blog must be activated. So check your email and click the link provided. It should arrive within 30 minutues although it is usually within seconds.
• If you do not activate your blog within two days, you will have to sign up again.
• Check the junk email or spam folder of your email client. Sometime emails wind up there by mistake.
• Upon activation of your blog, you will be shown your temporary password. You will need to copy this or write it down.
• You can then login to your blog.

What next?
Change your password to something secure but also something that you will remember! Do this in Users > User Profile. Then, you might like to look around the inside of your blog and see what else you can play, er work with.

Users > Your User Profile - set the user information you want published on your site
Options > General - set your site name and other site information
Options > Writing - set the settings of your Write Post screen
Options > Reading - set how many posts to show on the front page and in categories and your feed requirements
Options > Discussion - Turn on or off comments and set how to handle them
Manage > Posts - After you have written a few posts, this is where you will manage them by editing or deleting
Presentation > Themes - maybe change the look of your site?
Manage > Pages - add a Page or two like “About Us” or “Contact Me”
Write > Write Post - start adding content to your site

We have three wonderful boys who are a delight and bundles of energy. They are pumped about life and all the small things, which reminds me to be.

This is so introverted, I really am just interested in spurring people on to greater heights with God especially woman and kids I meet.

I love children of all colours and creeds.

Ahhhhh kids, I wanna eat them, many years ago when James and I were first married (on our honeymoon to be exact, nothing like having it all up front!!) I had a vision a dream really, I saw HUNDREDS of babies all swaddled and cuddly, but they were all lined up in cots (I think) and they were waiting for me…..but what was significant was they were all different colours.

There were African babies, Asian babies, English babies, Hispanic babies, European Babies, Aussie Babies, Aboriginal babies……every colour imaginable…….and they were mine!!! As a relatively new Christian at the time I did not understand, but a Spirit filled woman who we met in Hawaii said to me that these were spiritual babies……ahhhh now I understood. (I thought I would have to breastfeed them all!!!! Blessed are the Paps that gave thee suck, but this is rediculous) I also realised that these were babies in the Spirit (adults too) but God really has given me a passion for the little ones…and their mothers

Thus began my love affair with THE CHILD….it was in me before I got saved and just grew after I got saved…..more  purpose and direction. I have since worked with many mother’s and babies from all cultures ……. African mothers and babies, Polish mothers, Aussie mothers, Aboriginal and Islander Mothers and more…..what an honour and a priveldge.

I am not afraid of getting dirty, meeting the unlovely, the ungodly the hurt and the ugly

Sometimes these sites are so sanitised they sicken me….we live in such a pretty world (and yes we do!!), but reality is most people live in poverty and squalor. As Christians we need to expose ourselves to this reality and I would encourage you to GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE and do something…..get dirty, get real, hug someone who stinks, talk to a person who seems poorer than you, reach out and be real, be honest with things you do not understand, admit to the poor you have never been poor, to the lonely that you do not understand….but introduce them to the one who does Jesus….He was poor, stricken forsaken and hungry…..

I would also encourage you to take a peep at our dear friend’s blog, Mark and Chris have been buddies forever and if nothing can pierce you Mark will pierce you with his straight Christianity and convicting manner I kinda cringe when there is a new post….what part is gonna be stripped today.

Ahhhhh in stark contrast, God made such lovely things I am a sucker for colour and kids, clothes is my weakness, needless to say I supplement my addiction with eBay and Oztion sales…..I am trying to scrapbook our Russia UK holiday I am sooooo behind, but I love doing it. I love doing and being the unexpeceted. I love missions….

I guess I do the unexpected, we take 6 kids to Russia and the UK, we go for 3 months to Manila, we like doing the unexpected….without some risk in life, life would just BE and you are not really LIVING…..me I choose LIFE and LIVING!!!!

I love God, this is my diary of truth and a glimpse into my spirit man.

Why do I write, I feel I am being obedient to God, I am a talker so I guess writing is the next best thing!! But sometimes I just want to give where I did not have, I want to deposit where I was not deposited into, I want to impart where I was never imparted to……I want younger woman to achieve things I never achieved when I was younger, and I want women my own age to be encouraged to reach out and JUST DO IT!! I want older women to impart, discuss and challenge me……my desire is to be a servant to all.
